Host City INNSBRUCK

Whether it is alpine via ferratas with incredible views, exciting ice climbs with straight lines, or a first rate climbing experience in the brand new climbing center - Innsbruck and its surrounding villages have a lot to offer to beginners and professionals alike.

climbers-paradise.com lists more than 600 climbs, countless via ferratas, crags and ice climbs for Innsbruck and its surroundings. Besides the Innsbruck via ferrata, a classic among the demanding alpine via ferratas, the climbing arena Nordkette is a paradise for all climbers. Experienced ice climbers find great opportunities in Kühtai or Sellrain, while crags like Stams or Locherboden are families favourites.

The new climbing guide book Innsbruck and its holiday villages offers a broad and unique survey of all via ferratas, climbing routes and ice climbs. The guide book is published by AM-Berg and available in bookstores, amazon and soon in our Onlineshop.

The best opportunity for training waits at the Kletterzentrum Innsbruck, with over 5,700 m2 of climbable surface. The state-of-the-art indoor and outdoor (competition)-walls offer everything you could ask for, for both the climbing stars and the youngsters and leisure climbers.

For years, the “climbing city” Innsbruck has been a great stop at the IFSC Bouldering World Cups series. After the European Championships (Bouldering) in 2010 and 2015, the IFSC Climbing Youth World Championships will be hosted in Innsbruck from 30/08 - 10/09/2017. The world’s best come to Innsbruck from 06/09 - 16/09/2018 for the IFSC Climbing World Championships.

But the Tyrolean Capital isn’t only great from a climbing perspective. Innsbruck unites city, culture and mountains in a unique way: imperial old town, modern architecture. Mountain adventure and culture experience. The entire year, well known events attract visitors interested in cultural events.
