The Athletes Lounge / Iso-Zone can only be accessed by athletes and team officials with a valid accreditation and who are qualified for the given round/discipline. The accreditation must be shown upon entry. It is allowed to take food and drinks into the Athletes Lounge / Iso Zone. In the spectators area, it is not allowed to take food or drinks (empty bottles/boxes are okay).
The Athletes Lounge / Iso Zone can only be entered with clean shoes. That means that you need an extra pair of shoes, you cannot enter with your street shoes.

Information on commercial Training facilities

Nearby commercial training facilities are in Innsbruck, Telfs and Imst.
For those who want to train during the Youth World Championships, there are two great locations nearby, the venue Kletterzentrum Innsbruck (Lead), the Bergstation Telfs, 20 minutes from Innsbruck (Lead and Bouldering) and the Kletterzentrum Imst, 45 minutes from Innsbruck (Lead, Bouldering and Speed).

By air

Airport Innsbruck (Further information)
Distance to competition venue: <10 km
The airport Innsbruck is directly connected with Paris, London, Frankfurt, Vienna and Zürich.
From Innsbruck Airport the bus line F takes you to town, alternatively you can get a taxi / cab by calling +43 512 5311. The schedule of the F line can be found HERE.

Airport Munich (Further information)
Distance to competition venue: ~ 200 km
From the airport take the "S-Bahn" (S1 or S8) to train station "Munich East" / "München Ostbahnhof"), then go by train to Innsbruck (station "Innsbruck Hauptbahnhof").

By train:
Innsbruck central railway station offers direct connection to almost all major European cities. All trains make a stop in Innsbruck ("Innsbruck Hauptbahnhof"). At the western side of Innsbruck Hauptbahnhof there is a large bus stop. HERE you find the next connections from Innsbruck Hauptbahnhof. Alternatively you can get a taxi / cab by calling +43 512 5311.

To get from the main train station to the venue, you can either walk to the venue on foot (20 minutes, see below) or take either the H or the R Bus line to the stop "Bienerstraße", from where it takes 10 minutes on foot to the venue. 



The best way to reach the venue Kletterzentrum Innsbruck from the main train station (Innsbruck Hauptbahnhof).

Getting around in Innsbruck

From inside Innsbruck:
Please note that there is no parking for spectators, teams or officials at the venue.
We recommend that you take either your bike, or public transport. The closest bus stations are

  • Wohnheim Saggen (Bus-Line H) (5 minutes on foot to the venue)
  • Bienerstraße (Bus-Line H, R, TS) (10 minutes)
  • Sebastian-Scheel-Straße (Bus-Line T) (3 minutes)

With the car

Please note that there are NO PARKING spots at the venue, neither for spectators, nor teams, nor officials.
If you still wish to come with the car, we recommend that you park at the Innsbruck Olympiaworld.
At the parking lot Olympiahalle West parking costs 8€ per day.

For athletes, there is a Shuttle-Service between Innsbruck Olympiaworld and Kletterzentrum Innsbruck, that runs daily. The first Shuttle starts at Olympiaworld half an hour before the first time that the Isolation Zone opens on that day. The last shuttle starts when the Isolation zone closes the last time for that day.  The Shuttle costs 2€ per person. The return from the venue to the Olympiaworld is possible when the shuttle is operating and available. The shuttles have limited capacity. They do not replace public transport, they support it. Information about public transport is available HERE.
